Participating at
Open Studios 2026
Sat Nov 21-Sun Nov 22,
12—5 PM
Brickbottom Open Studios is an annual event where artists in the Brickbottom community open their studio doors to the public. Visitors can explore a wide range of artwork, meet the artists, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how and where the work is made. It’s one of the longest-running Open Studios events in the region and a highlight of the local arts calendar.
Whether you're a resident or affiliate artist, this is your opportunity to share your work, connect with the community, and be part of one of Somerville’s most beloved art events.

Late Registration Fee
To ensure we have enough time to prepare promotional materials and organize logistics, registration will increase $25 each tier for anyone who signs up after October 8. We strongly encourage artists to register early to avoid this fee and ensure full inclusion in marketing and printed materials.
Registration Closes on Oct 31st.
After this time, if you choose to participate as a resident, you cannot be included in any marketing materials, directories, or signage. No affiliates will be accepted after Oct 31st.
Prepare Your Website & Artist Info
All participating artists will be listed on brickbottom.org, with a link to your personal website. Make sure your site and social media are up and running!
Plan Your Display
For Resident Artists:
You can show work in your studio and in hallways near your studio. Make sure you’ve signed your liability waiver
Do not hang art in “reserved” zones
Do not post individual directional signs — we’ll provide door signs and generic arrows
For Affiliate (Non-Resident) Artists:
We’ll try to match you with a space or host
If you’ve shown before, reach out to your former host and see if they’ll host you again
We only have about 25 spots available for non-residents and they are first-come, first-served. If no space is available, you’ll get a refund
You may use your own display or lighting equipment
Submit Work for the Gallery Show
Each artist may display one piece in the Brickbottom Gallery as part of a preview exhibition.
Drop-off/pick-up instructions will be sent by email
