November 23 and 24, 12:00-5:00 pm
Please join Brickbottom Artists Building and Joy Street Studios in celebrating our annual Open Studios event where more than 80 artists and craft persons will open their studios to the public, exhibiting and selling work in a wide variety of mediums and formats.
Founded 35 years ago, Brickbottom is one of the country’s first and largest artist-developed live/work complexes. A block away is Joy Street Studios, a former printmaking factory converted to more than 65 artist work studios featuring painters, jewelers, glass blowers, and more.
There will be live music performances, a printmaking workshop, massage therapist and a cafe.
Brickbottom is wheelchair accessible and only a 10 minute walk from the East Somerville, Union Square or Lechmere green line T stations and the 80, 86, 87, 88 and 90 bus lines. The new Somerville community path also gets you here! Plenty of free parking in the 100 Chestnut St. garage, on Chestnut and Linwood streets and the Joy Street Studios parking lot.
Check out joystreetstudios.org for a list of their participating artists.
