Somerville Toy Camera Festival

Brickbottom Gallery is pleased to once again join Somerville’s Nave Gallery and Washington Street Gallery in presenting the 6th annual Somerville Toy Camera Festival! The Festival’s three gallery shows of photographs made with toy and lo-fi cameras will open after Labor Day — see  dates for all three STCF exhibitions, and other Festival details on the Festival’s web site.

The Brickbottom exhibition will run Sept 6 – Oct 13, with an opening reception on Saturday, Sept 8, from 5-7pm.

Since 2013, the Festival has celebrated the quirky and creative results that can happen when photographers are forced to loosen their controls, submit to the light and embrace the accidental. Each year since, the Festival has brought a wide range of toy camera photography by US and international artists together in simultaneous shows at galleries throughout the city, and featured related programming including artist talks/panel discussions, workshops, social events, and a darkroom day.
