BAA Members’ Exhibition: Myth & Magic

Enchantment is a forceful muse – whether capturing the glory of a sunset, or delving into fables and folklore. Art, like magic, employs symbols, words, and images, to achieve transformation of consciousness. The mysteries of the universe and the beauty of creation form the foundation of many works of art.

This large and varied group exhibition explores myth and magic in painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture and mixed media, and includes a wide range of subjects and styles. Visitors to the gallery during Somerville Open Studios may also catch a performance of modern dance, or witness the magic of the process as artists demonstrate drawing from life.

Opening Reception: Sunday, April 30, 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Special events during Somerville Open Studios, May 6 & 7 include extended hours 12:00-6:00 p.m., performances of modern dance, live drawing demonstrations and more!
